Hayley is currently in the final year of her PhD at Liverpool John Moores University, supervised by Dr Liz James and Dr Conan Leavey. Her research explores childhood memories of post-war Merseyside. The study employs a qualitative research approach, conducting oral history interviews to collect childhood memories of the 1950s. A heuristic approach to memory sharing has proved to be an effective tool for capturing, analysing and preserving reminiscences, childhood experiences and living memories. Previous work includes collaboration with the Museum of Liverpool, where she exhibited her PhD research through an interactive public event.
