Kate is a registered nurse (child branch) and is a full time Child Nursing Lecturer and is the Programme Leader for the pre-registration Child Nursing BA and BSc at Liverpool John Moores University.

She has worked in paediatric orthopaedics and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit both within Alder Hey children’s hospital.

Kate is currently working towards her PhD looking at factors affecting physically disabled children and young people accessing mainstream out-of-school activities under the supervision of Lorna Porcellato, Phil Vickerman and Daz Greenop.
