After completing a BA (Hons) in Criminal Justice at Liverpool John Moores University in 2012 Rebecca continued her studies to complete an MA in Criminal Justice at LJMU in 2013 maintaining a keen interest in drugs policy throughout. Rebecca is currently completing an MPhil to transfer to PhD under the supervision of Professor Harry Sumnall, Amanda Atkinson (Public Health Institute) and Dr Rebecca Askew (Criminal Justice in Law). The project, titled, “Drug User Identity: how identifying as a drug user influences health behaviours” will focus on identity formations of non-dependent drug users. The project will utilise a mixed methods approach and the research will proceed through a series of linked activities including self- completion surveys, segmentation analysis and focus groups.
