Inter Agency Drug Misuse Database Manager

e-mail Tel No: 0151 231 4349

The Inter Agency Drug Misuse database collects data from a wide variety of sources, including NDTMS, Syringe Exchange Schemes and various Criminal Justice systems. We also collect data from a range of lower level services such as Outreach and Connexions.

I provide performance monitoring reports for both D(A)ATs and service providers as well as responding to ad hoc requests for data and analyses. The integration of a wide range of datasets enables me to perform analyses across datasets to reveal changing profiles of problem drug users and trends in drug use within a given area. The database is being slowly expanded to incorporate more service providers as well as more D(A)AT areas. Previously I worked for the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead as a researcher, conducting a Systematic Review of preference effects in randomised controlled trials. I have also worked for the Investigative Psychology Unit at the University of Liverpool on a range of research projects, in particular an analysis of expert behaviour in detective decision making processes related to sexual assault.
