I lead the environment, sustainability and capacity devlopment team. The team offers advice and support to public health professionals on how environmental and sustainability issues link to health.
I started at LJMU in December 99 and headed up the education programmes for several years. Before that I worked for many years in Solomon Islands. I lectured at the local college, worked for the US Peace Corps and for Save the Children. I also worked for a few years in Swaziland, Southern Africa.
Previous experience - teaching and training health workers / workforce devlopment and education needs assessment / public health in developing countries - especially maternal and child health programmes /
Interested in: - General public health and epidemiology. I am particulary intersted in the links beteen sustainability and health.

This ‘top tips’ document was commissioned by Cheshire and Merseyside Public Health Network (ChaMPs) to support the commissioning and delivery of effective behaviour change training programmes across Cheshire and Merseyside. The document was informed by a mapping exercise of behaviour change training programmes being delivered across Cheshire and Merseyside and an exploration of the processes involved in commissioning and delivering them. It includes, ‘top tips’ for commissioners and providers of behaviour change training programmes; a best practice checklist; and a case study of a strategic and coordinated approach to behaviour change training.
