A multi-disciplinary team conducting original research on health and behaviour and specialising in links between recreational drug use, alcohol, violence and sex especially in nightlife environments.


Environment, Sustainability and Capacity Development

Specialists providing advice and information on matters relating to the wider public health aspects of the environment and health.


International Public Health Research Team

Focus on global public health challenges including; alcohol use and harms, substance abuse, and the factors which impact sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC).


North West Public Health Observatory

A specialist team of analysts, researchers and web developers providing high quality and timely intelligence to support the delivery of public health policy and practice.


Sexual Health

Public Health Specialists delivering research, surveillance and related intelligence on HIV, sexually transmitted infections, teenage pregnancy and other sexual health issues.


Substance Use

An expert team with an international reputation for developing drug and alcohol surveillance systems, evaluating interventions, reviewing evidence and delivering research.
